Medicaid Members

The hospital where your baby is born should help you start the Medicaid application process for your baby. Check with the hospital social worker before you go home to make sure the application is complete.

Also, you should call 2-1-1. to find your local HHSC office to make sure your baby’s application has been received. If you are a Community Member when you have the baby, your baby will be enrolled with us on his or her date of birth.
